I am pretty sure we all heard of the Mass Shooting that occurred in Downtown Orlando Florida this past Sunday at the Pulse Night Club. It was and still is a major tragedy because hate is what drove Omar's actions. It is not our place to hate another's sexuality, or to judge and take matters into our own hands. Instead, that is the Lord's job and we should leave that authority to Him, and Him alone.
In Matthew Chapter 24:6-8, NKJV it states: "And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. (vs:6) For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. (vs:7) All these are the beginning of sorrows. (vs:8)"
We can clearly see that many natural disasters and wars (like the mass shooting) is occurring all around us.
In verse 10 & 12 it states, "And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. (vs:10) And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. (vs:12)"
We see this happening in our families, as well as friendships (betrayal), and in hate crimes. The Bible speaks truth, and tells us "these things must come to pass" in order for prophecy to be fulfilled, and for us to see the second coming of our Lord and Savior.
However, Jesus gave us reassurance in those few verses. He stated: "See that you are not troubled," and "but the end is not yet." What does this mean to us? We still have time, and another opportunity to give our lives back to Jesus. Trust me when I say this, the world is NOT getting any better! I'm sorry to disappoint but more casualties, natural disasters, and wars will occur. But you can be saved. If and only if we go back to Jesus. (He's the ONLY solution)
I'll leave you with this promise. In verse 13 it states, "But he who endures to the end shall be saved." Remember you cannot be saved on your own. You must have a Savior, and his name is Jesus. :)
