How To Be A True Follower of Christ.

If you are a believer, and want to strengthen your relationship with Christ, this is the perfect blog post for you!
I know to be a TRUE follower of Christ, isn't the easiest, but we are definitely capable. Yes we are set at a high standard, and at times it may seem as if we have to be perfect at all times, but there is an amazing reward at the end. I promise! Do you know what it is? Eternal life- entrance into the Heavenly kingdom.
Here are a few tips on how to remain on the path of righteousness:
Have a firm relationship with God. (Allow him to be your best friend)
Have Christ-like character (loving, forgiving, sympathetic toward the needy, etc...)
Keep a constant prayer life (3x a day. Morning, noon, and night)
Read His word (That's how you get to know Him, and His love for you)
Refrain from listening to secular music & participating in worldly activities Ex: clubs (It doesn't keep your mind on the God almighty. Christian music is the way to go!)
Lastly, when you do fall short, pray with a sincere heart and he will forgive you. (Make sure you actually turn away from that sin you're repenting for)
I know all of this is not easy, trust me! But, we can do it! Just have FAITH. I personally fall short, but I dust myself off and pray that God continues to work on me. He can definitely help you too.
