The Twist On Independence.

Ladies! This post is for you. I know we all love to be independent but there is a twist- especially if you're in a relationship.

When it comes to being independent, we want to handle our own right? Pay our own bills, food, and other necessities. However, when we have a mate, we need to drop our independence bar down a few inches. Why? Well, let me give you an example.

Say for instance you're on a date with your man, it went well, and the waiter placed the check on the table. You instantly picked it up, and got your Visa card out of your purse to pay for dinner, but your man is not okay with it at all. He decides to ask for the check so he can pay for dinner, but you refuse to give it to him because of your sense of independence. So you ended up paying for dinner, and now your man is giving you the evil eye.

You may ask, "what's the big deal? I want to show him I don't need a man to pay for everything all the time. I have money too!"

Well... it is a big deal. A man is taught to provide, secure, and care for the person he loves. How on earth do you expect a man to show you he can provide for you if you won't even allow him to pick-up the check? You're taking away his manhood, and it shows that you DO NOT NEED A MAN! This is why I suggest that we lower our independence bar just a few inches.

Of course a man loves an independent woman, but allow him to be the man he's supposed to be for you.
