Coconut: Multi-purpose oil.

To all of my naturalista's, this post is going to be focused on coconut. Coconut is a multi-purpose oil that can protect, & moisturize hair and skin, and also function as a sunscreen. I personally use the organic/virgin oil as a moisturizer at night after I wash my face to keep it hydrated. However, for a sunscreen, I substitute it with the Aveeno sunscreen lotion with a SPF of 50. (If you want more info about sunscreen, just leave a comment in the comment box on the "Inspirational Insight" page)
In the image, you can see coconut in three different forms. (Liquid, solid, & a gel consistency) For the liquid, I use it to hydrate my hair when I do 2-strand-twist. For the solid, I use it for my face as a moisturizer and also for my edges, & lastly for the gel, I use it to sleek back my hair into ponytails & etc... However, for my "edges" I use "Gorilla snot" gel to hold and slay back my edges.
If your hair does not like coconut oil, "Jamaican black castor" oil is a great alternative. I know they have it as a liquid oil, and in a gel consistency now. You can definitely find them in your local beauty store for a very decent price. ($3-$5)
